I found out she was doing her fragrance launch at the Sephora here in Miami so I had to go & meet her!
There were so many people in line (and there were about that many people behind me).
There was a photographer there who took your picture with Kim with his camera. I took pictures while I was in the store waiting for mine to print.
Kim’s Mom, Kris Jenner, Simon Huck & Jonathan Cheban were there too! Simon & Jonathan own a PR company called, Command PR. Kim, Kris, Jonathan & Simon are some of my favorite people to follow on Twitter. Follow ‘em @JonathanCheban & @SimonHuck & @KimKardashian & @KeepinUpWKris and follow me @deenaandmark
Hi…. sorry I haven’t posted anything in almost 2 WEEKS! That’s a long time. We flew back to Atlanta for Mark & Nate’s real estate event. Which was non-stop work everyday for a week and I got sick from it being so cold & rainy in Atlanta
The Event turned out great & was a lot of fun. Here’s everyone:
Here are some pictures of the house all decorated. One night was a “Hawaiian Luau” party. Susan found the cutest decorations!
We had this thing made, I call it a “face in hole”. Here’s Susan & I… haha!
So we’re back in Miami & loving the warm weather again! Leave me a comment & let me know what fun thing you did this past weekend.
Last night we were having dinner on Lincoln Rd. in South Beach & there was a comedy show that was going on right by us. Natasha Leggero was one of the comedians! If you’re a fan of Chelsea Lately then you’ll know who I’m talking about. And if you’re not a fan, then you should check it out the show on the E! channel.
Thought I’d post another “Travelty” (traveling & meeting a celebrity). Well, I didn’t actually meet Tom Hanks but I (and 500 others) did run into him filming “Angels & Demons” in Rome, Italy… check out the video circa 2008!
Mark & I went to Frank McKinney’s “Treehouse Stay-of-Execusion” Event. He chained himself to his treehouse as a 60-ton crane lifted him 35 feet in the air! It was crazzzzy! Here’s some video. Sorry for all the bushes & trees in the way but you can still see the treehouse swaying in the air. Check it out….
Here’s Frank giving his speech about his charity, The Caring House Project Foundation. He left for Haiti later that day. Frank & his team of doctors, paramedics, firefighters, and others specially trained in search & rescue techniques were the first American Emergency Relief Team to arrive.
Mark & I giving Frank McKinney our donation to The Caring House Project Foundation.
Yesterday a 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince. This was one of the most powerful quakes that has hit this area. My thoughts & prayers go out to the people of Haiti. This is devastating news as we have plans to meet Frank McKinney this Thursday to attend his event & donate to his charity, The Caring House Project Foundation. For more than 10 years Frank & his team have built self-sufficient villages which provide food, water, housing, medical support & schooling. 100% of the proceeds go to charity. My thoughts & prayers go out to everyone in Haiti. I love this picture of Haiti. The grass is bright green, the building is a clean white and the pastel colors in the sky are so pretty. Would you have ever guessed this was a building in Haiti?
You’re probably asking yourself what in the world is a “travelty”?!?!
Travelty: Traveling & meeting a celebrity
Yesterday I went to Bethenny Frankel’s book signing at Books & Books in Bal Harbor, Florida. With Bethenny what you see is what you get. She was the same person you watch on the reality TV show, ‘Real Housewives of New York City’. Bethenny talked a little bit about next season of ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ but mostly about her new book called ”The Skinnygirl Dish”. I recommend you get her first book, “Naturally Thin” & then go out & get her newest book, “The Skinnygirl Dish” (She also talked about her next 2 books she’s coming out with!) Bethenny was all smiles, so nice to everyone & making us laugh with her one lines. Like her even more now that I’ve meet her. So nice meeting you Bethenny!!
I’m calling my Friday post “Friday Flights” cause every Friday I’m ganna post a place where Mark & I have taken a flight to in our previous travels.
Mark & I went to Santorini, Greece in June 2008. This is our FAVORITE place we’ve traveled to because of the views of the island & from the island, the warm weather & the different beaches. The island of Santorini has white sand, red sand & black sand beaches. You have to take a flight to Santorini!
Funny story while we were in Santorini. The lady we rented from told us to take a sunset cruise. She told us where we had to go to catch the boat & told us we had a choice to take the steps or the cable car down the mountain. There was a really long line for the cable car & we were running late so we took the steps. Here’s the steps…
She forgot to mentioned this is known as the “mule path”!!! and that there’s donkey poop everywhere. And when I say everywhere I mean EVERYWHERE! That’s not cement inbetween the rocks on the ground! And it was so hot, our feet were slipping forward in our sandles & our toes were touching the poop…. ewwwww! Mark had to pick up his pant legs so it wouldn’t get on his clothes.
But we made it & every time we think about it we laugh! It is something we will never forget & we now know for the next time we go back to Santorini. I recommend doing a sunset cruise & take the cable car haha!
My birthday was on January 4th & I turned 29! I got phone calls from my Mom, my Dad, Nicole (my sister), Joe (my brother), Aunt Mar, Aunt Darlene (I also talked to Isabella), Doug, Judi, Maria (my cuz), Sandy (Mark’s Mom), and Mark’s nieces, Payton, Samantha, Roslyn & Kadyn. I also got so many birthday wishes on facebook. Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes… it was so nice!
Mark & I went to get drinks & dinner at Blue Martini. Before we went to dinner his family sent me flowers! I looove getting flowers. That was such a nice surprise. I just wanted to say “Thank You” to Sandy, Mark, Brandy, Kevin & the girls (Payton, Sammy, Roslyn, Kadyn). All white flowers…. aren’t they so pretty!!!!!
Ok, I had to share this! We travel with our cat, Whiskers. I got him when I was 11 years old so that makes him almost 18 years old! Recently when we were visiting my Mom in Naples she fed him Reddi Whip & he went nuts for it. He looooves it!! So I had to go & buy some & watch how excited he gets when I have the bottle in my hand. Watch til the end so you can see the tricks he does… haha.
